Sea Life Scheveningen has reopened along the boulevard following a major renovation. To look back at the history of the attraction, the venue is asking people to submit their old photographs.
Pictures of the former Golfslagbad are also welcome. That swimming pool opened in the late 1970s as the first wave pool in the Netherlands, before closing in the early 1990s and making way for Sea Life.
Recreating a vintage photo
Sea Life has now been part of Scheveningen for more than 30 years. General manager Michelle Hoeneveld noted that visitors who came as children now regularly visit with their own children.
From the submissions, the venue will choose one special memory. The winner will be invited to recreate their original picture with the same people, family, or pose for a then-and-now series.
Photos and accompanying stories can be submitted through 5 October.
