Three headless figures will wander through the Grote Marktstraat in The Hague from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October.
They will turn up unannounced inside shops and sit down at tables on the street’s terraces.
The German street theatre company Circolo is behind the act, called Headless Madness, which it calls surprising and humorous.
The performances are part of Festival De Betovering, the international arts festival for children held during the autumn holiday.
With the act, the festival is taking art and culture literally onto the street.
Festival events across The Hague
During the festival week, a pop-up mini-festival heads into a different neighbourhood each day, so children all over the city get a taste of the festival and of art and culture.
There are also performances and workshops at more than sixty locations across The Hague.
Almost every cultural institution in the city is taking part, with programmes for children up to and including the age of 12.
