Endless Road Work

The N211 Wippolderlaan in Escamp closes from Thursday 1 October at 22.00 until Monday 5 October at 04.00.

The stretch between the Erasmusweg and the A4 will be shut for the whole period, and drivers should expect diversions and extra traffic.

Also closed are the Laan van Wateringse Veld between the Paul Steenbergenlaan and the N211, exit 12 of the A4 coming from Amsterdam, and the slip road from the Harnaschpolder onto the A4 towards Rotterdam.

Surrounding roads are expected to get busier, and diversion signs will be in place along the route.

Anyone who can travel another way, by bike or by bus, is advised to do so.

Bus line 37 is on a temporary route because of the closure of the Laan van Wateringse Veld.

What changes on Monday 5 October

Over the long weekend a new roundabout is being built at the Laan van Wateringse Veld, connected to the existing road and to the new fly-over.

From Monday 5 October at 04.00 the fly-over opens and traffic to and from Wateringse Veld runs via the new roundabout.

The situation changes in other places too.

Traffic on the N211 will use the opposite carriageway for a time because of work on the bridges over the Zweth and the Molensloot.

At exit 12 of the A4, a new traffic light for traffic heading to the N211 means drivers can no longer turn right freely.

If you are leaving the car at home over the long weekend, it helps to know which trams and buses go where.
