KunstPost, a cultural organisation based in Mariahoeve, marked its 18th anniversary over the weekend of 17 and 18 October with a programme at its own LOOkatie364 venue on Het Kleine Loo.
The weekend included film, dance, music and workshops, along with plenty of time for visitors to meet one another.
Alderman Kavish Partiman was among those who came along to speak to the organisation’s volunteers, partners and visitors.
The celebration came as KunstPost prepares to leave its site next to the shopping centre by the end of 2026 because of a major rebuilding project.
Temporary spaces and a longer-term option
To keep its activities going, the organisation has rented three smaller rooms on Denenburg and Catharinaland.
In February, The Hague city council passed a motion from the Hart voor Den Haag party asking the city to look into whether KunstPost could be housed either temporarily or long term in the former Aegon complex near Mariahoeve station.
That request has not yet produced a concrete offer.
