Kunstmuseum Den Haag is running a series of Museumavonden, evenings on which residents of named city districts can come in without a ticket.

Entry is free, and so are the activities, the drinks and the bus that brings people to the museum and back again.

Each evening is linked to one or more parts of the city: Wednesday 21 October 2026 for Escamp, Sunday 11 November 2026 for Laak, Wednesday 9 December 2026 for Centrum and Scheveningen, Wednesday 20 January 2027 for Leidschenveen/Ypenburg and Segbroek, and Wednesday 3 February 2027 for Haagse Hout and Loosduinen.

The programme on the night

Visitors can walk through exhibitions including Reflections on Fashion, Base Line and Mondriaan & De Stijl, and there is more to the evening than the galleries.

You can join a drop-in tour, a lecture or a creative workshop, and the Tuinzaal has music performances along with coffee, tea, a drink and something to eat, all of it free as well.

Buses and opening times

Free buses run to the museum for residents of the districts involved.

They leave at 17.30 from several pickup points in the district and drive back from the museum at 20.30.

A seat on the bus has to be booked in advance, and the museum has the details on how to do that.

Anyone making their own way to the museum does not need to register for anything.

From 18.00 the doors are open and you can walk straight in, free of charge and without a ticket.
