Neighbourhood festival Kortenbos Gaat Los marks its tenth edition on Saturday 26 September, coinciding with Nationale Burendag. The event opens at 12:00 at the Stadsklooster on Westeinde 165a.

Organisers are using the monastery’s alley, garden, and square for a programme spanning live music, art workshops, city history presentations, children’s sports, and a neighbourhood lunch featuring global foods.

Performances across two stages

Live entertainment will be split between two areas, starting with the alley stage. That lineup includes French chansons by Le Chant des Dunes, Dutch songs on piano by Willem Erkels, singer-songwriter quartet Insulting Diplomats, and pop act Band Bruno.

At 19:00, Alexander Franken presents an open stage featuring poetry and spoken stories reflecting on ten years of the event. The day ends in the alley with disco bingo and a set by DJ Jade.

The garden stage hosts performances by Mr Wave and Krijn van der Plas, followed by cover band The Locals, neo-soul singer Levya, and the Haags Klimaatkoor. The garden programme concludes with a regular open jazz jam session led by Uli Glassmann.
