Three authors have been nominated for each of the Jan Campert, F.
Bordewijk and Nienke van Hichtum prizes, which recognise poetry, prose and children’s literature.
Organisers have chosen three nominated titles per prize for the first time instead of focusing only on the winning book.
Board chair Valérie Drost says that does more justice to the richness of Dutch-language literature.
The nominees
In poetry, the nominees are Maria Barnas for Tussen mij, Dean Bowen for Masc and Anne Vegter for Projectmedewerkers.
The prose shortlist is Nisrine Mbarki Ben Ayad for Kookpunt, Ester Naomi Perquin for Tot alles in beweging komt and Arie Storm for Macca.
For children’s literature, Yorick Goldewijk is nominated for Albatros, Pim Lammers for Ben je vergeten dat babygeitjes bestaan? and Anna Woltz for De eerste Alix.
Connie Palmen was named earlier this year as the winner of the Constantijn Huygens Prize, which honours a body of work.
Ceremony in January
The Constantijn Huygens Prize carries €12,000, the other three winners receive €6,000 each and nominees get €600.
The Literature Museum and the Writers Unlimited International Literature Festival will announce the winners on Saturday 23 January 2027 at Theater aan het Spui.
