The kite festival is returning to Scheveningen beach on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September after a two-year absence.
Works to renovate the boulevard near the Kurhaus Hotel previously left no room for the event, but the completed project allows it to go ahead once again.
Weekend schedule
The festival is free to enter, with kites flying between 11:00 and 17:00 on both days.
Displays include what is billed as the world’s largest Megabite kite alongside an aquarium collection of sea-creature kites. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
Public transport and parking
The festival area near the Kurhaus can be reached from Den Haag Centraal on tram 1, tram 9, or bus 22 to the Boulevard stop.
Tram 9 also connects directly from station Hollands Spoor. Drivers are advised to use local car parks, with Interparking Boulevard located closest to the site.
