In Dutch usage, Indo often refers to people and communities shaped by Indonesian and European ancestry, though identity carries varied personal and family meanings. Museum Sophiahof explores histories and legacies linking the Netherlands and Indonesia, offering context for these stories. The exhibition invites visitors to consider how Indische identity is pictured, remembered and understood across generations.
