Bilingual chess night with practice matches and a friendly tournament
Newcomers receive a guide to the rules and a partner to play alongside, learning as you go. Once everyone is settled, the competition begins, a relaxed tournament where the goal is play, not performance. The room fills with the rhythm of moves and the pleasure of thinking several steps ahead.
